The role

The Senior Sales Engineer is based in Osaka and serves enterprise accounts, with a focus on manufacturing customers. You act as a strategic Account SE and trusted advisor, partnering with Account Managers to strengthen each customer's communication security, threat protection and data protection strategy. The role carries direct engagement with CISOs and CIOs and ownership of the technical case from first discovery through to production evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Plan accounts jointly with Account Managers and lead the security solution conversation.
• Run discovery, map customer requirements and design solution architectures across cloud collaboration platforms, identity providers, SIEM and endpoint detection environments.
• Deliver demonstrations and lead proofs of concept and production evaluations.
• Manage technical stakeholders and engage executives, presenting a clear value narrative.
• Position against competing vendors with credibility and precision.
• Pass customer and market feedback to product and regional teams.
• Contribute to sales enablement and to standardised, repeatable solutions.

What you bring

• At least six years as an Account SE, Security Specialist, Solutions Architect or senior pre-sales engineer.
• Proven technical and executive engagement with enterprise customers.
• Experience designing security architecture across cloud, identity, endpoint, email and the modern workplace.
• Hands-on knowledge of communication security, such as AI-based email security, secure email gateways, API-based email protection, phishing defence and threat protection. Experience in collaboration, data, endpoint or identity security, or SecOps, is also relevant.
• Background at a leading cybersecurity or enterprise technology vendor is preferred.
