Client Director, Japan

About the company

A global enterprise low-code platform company, providing software for process automation and custom application development. It already serves enterprise customers in Japan, supported remotely by its overseas teams, and is now making its first hire in the market.

The role

The Client Director owns the company's existing enterprise accounts in Japan and the delivery of their programmes. The role grows those accounts through new use cases and acts as the company's senior presence in the market. New business through the Client Director's own relationships is welcome.

A Solution Architect will join once the role is filled, and there is a path to Country Director for the right person. The position is remote, based in Tokyo, and is employed initially through an Employer of Record.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of existing Japanese enterprise customers and the delivery of their programmes.
• Expand accounts through new use cases, upsell and executive relationships.
• Work with the overseas product, engineering and delivery teams and the APAC leader.
• Prepare proposals, forecasts and account reports for leadership.
• Open new business through personal market relationships where it arises.

What you bring

• Around 15-23 years of experience in enterprise software, systems integration or consulting.
• Client leadership, account management or delivery leadership with Japanese enterprise customers.
• A technical foundation, for example a start in engineering, systems engineering, presales or delivery.
• Consulting experience at a major firm is valued.
• Native Japanese and strong business English.
• Comfort working hands-on in a first-hire, zero-to-one setting.
